Harmon Family Shenanigans

Big things happening at our house....
We are busy with end of year happenings for Preschool with Audrey.  She has completed her first year of Preschool and has done so well! Pictures of her little graduation/move up coming after tomorrow when the actual event happens.
She is no longer napping these days.  It has been a culmination of things leading up to it.  Once Tessa was born she stopped for a few weeks, then started back (mostly to have more time with Mama!), then when the Mimi Fairy took the Mimis....she had a hard time settling down and falling asleep without it.  We imposed rest time....she had to be in her room in the bed playing or looking at books QUIETLY.....that was hard at times and much easier others.  Then she started taking naps willingly again but she started not being able to sleep at night....she was up till 11:00 at night wide eyed and restless.  She wasn't tired and it was so tough to be a nice patient Mommy at 10 and 11 in the evening.  Mommy needs to sleep!  So we tried no nap....just quiet playing and reading and some outside activity while Tessa napped and we moved bedtime for Audrey up to 8:30.  It's been so much better!  She has days where she is melting at 6, but we work through it and soldier on because putting her to bed is so much easier and nicer and she is actually tired and falls asleep.  Which is nicer for her too!  She also loves the time she gets with me, Mom, or Ericka while the others are snoozing!

Audrey is in the middle of swimming lessons and she is a rockstar!!!! She is doing so great!  She is floating on her back all by herself!  Jumping in and coming up and flipping to her back to float all by herself!  We are so proud and so thrilled!  Ms. Dayna rocks!  We are also loving the socializing part of it while the kids have lessons!:)

Tessa is growing like a weed and is doing so many new things!  SO MANY!
She slept through the night last night...no waking to nurse.  yay!  and sad too.....she's growing up!
She is taking steps!!!!  10 months and about to walk.  She is letting go and taking a few steps before holding on again or sitting down.  She is steady and I find myself backing up to get her to come just a bit farther.  Audrey gets crazy happy and excited when she does it!  Proud big sis. It's very sweet.

Tessa is also saying things that sound more like words lately...."bay bay" I think for baby when holding her doll.
She is pointing at people when we ask where they are....it's a whole hand point.
She is a brute!  She climbs right over Audrey to get to something.  She is a believer that going the most direct route is best...even if you have to go over a person....Audrey is patient with it most of the time and usually thinks it's funny.  Audrey and I will get into hysterical laughing fits over Tessa just lunging herself over top of Audrey in the tub.  It's a riot.
