We had a great long Memorial Day weekend. It was sunny and HOT here, and we managed to squeeze in some time for just the three of us, getting gelato(for us) and sorbetto(for Audrey Elizabeth), playing outside, and also sitting on the back patio with a cold one while our little bit splashed and soaked herself with her water table. It was perfect!
We also spent all day Sunday on the land, eating hamburgers and hotdogs, tubing, skipping rocks, fishing, and trying to get Audrey to take a nap in my parents camper....it was a short nap.:) We got to see both of our families and enjoyed the day so much.
Audrey and I went to the grocery store and as we were leaving the man who was bagging my groceries told us to have a nice day, and I replied, "Have a good Memorial Day!", well Audrey spent all day Monday and Tuesday saying, "Have good day, Memorial Day". It was too cute! She'd say it, then wait a moment and say it again and again. She'd say it to Daddy, to me, to Molly and Bandit, even to Bitty Baby.
The girl loves holidays! She is still talking about the Easter Bunny and was singing Happy Birthday to various people at dinner last night! It's a good thing because there sure are a lot of holidays to celebrate!
