Memorial Day Weekend at John's Creek 2014

We spent our long Memorial Day weekend camping on John's Creek.  4 days and 3 nights off the grid, no running water, no electricity, loads of family and friend time, floating the creek, creek stomping, and so much fun.  The girls didn't sleep great while we were gone which means we didn't either.  Patrick hung a tire swing and some other swings from one of our big maples and the kids were so happy!  We ate good, all got some sun and some scratched up legs, we all loved every campfire and we really enjoyed the beautiful weather on our gorgeous land.
The pictures prove what a good time we had...........

I gave the girls a bath in a storage tub after boiling a pot of water then adding in fresh cold water.  It worked great!  Until Tessa pooped in the tub.  Oh Tessa.

grandpa and all three of his granddaughters

We had a turtle friend that stayed around for a few days, despite the dogs being there.

an early morning by the campfire, just us girls.  we went down a day before everyone else came and it was so nice to have that time as sa family of four.

My littlest is really growing up.
checking out the turtle and trying to feed it lettuce and corn
Delicious campfire popcorn

Audrey caught two fish with Papa in 10 minutes.  Quite the well rounded girl.

Picking out rocks that looked like hearts.  Then finding ones to throw for the dogs.
