Tessa Kate is nine months old today! She seems so big lately. I went to get her up the other morning and as I stood there looking at the beautiful baby I created, I couldn't help but think she looked more like a toddler than a baby. She was wearing real big kid jammies...short sleeves and pants. Here is what our sweet nine month old girl is up to.......
- She is pulling up on everything! I mean everything. Even things that are shorter than her....she gets that rump in the air.
- She is cruising the furniture like a champ.
- She says "dada" (alot!), "mama" (not as much), and more recently "Auda" for Audrey! I was really excited about that last one! We were sitting in the front yard playing thursday night and she looked right at Audrey and said "Auda! Auda!". She did it several times again that night and has said it while looking right at and smiling at her sister. Sweetness!!! She also babbles all sorts of other sounds/words that sound as sweet as can be.
- She eats 3 meals a day, nurses well and really wants what we are eating. The girl loves carbs. Oh lordy! She prefers cheerios, bread and graham crackers to anything else. She does love peas and green beans so much. She is a bigger fan of veggies than she is fruit, though she likes the fruit.
- I think she may have a little blueberry allergy/issue....so we will see about that one.
- She does not sleep through the night. Story of my life! ;)
- She has the sweetest smile! Gets me everytime!
- Her whole torso is ticklish! :)
- Changing her clothes or diaper continues to be much like changing an alligator!
- She will stay in the nursery at church without too much fuss, but other than that is not a big fan of being passed off to anyone that isn't Ghee.
- She loves pulling all the spoons from the dishwasher. She pulled a wine glass out of there the other night when we weren't paying close enough attention to the little bugger at dinner clean up.....fyi: cheap wine glasses shatter...big time!
- She fusses like mad when she initially gets in her carseat but then quiets down quickly....usually.
- She does not like riding in her stroller at all. She wants to be carried instead. She is a heavy girl though!
- She talks and babbles in her sleep sometimes. Sweet little noises.
- She enjoys bathtime and is in the big tub now. We stopped using the ring in there because she was so dangerous trying to stand up in it. She has good balance in there now and has a lot of fun splashing around, playing with toys, and soaking me with cups.
- She has two teeth. The two front bottom ones. They're cute little things.
Tessa is sweet, she's cuddly, she makes me thank God everyday for the special gift she is. I cannot believe we will be celebrating her first birthday so soon!
