6 months!

Christmas Pictures will eventually get uploaded, but right now I want to document what is going on with my little Tessa!
Tessa Kate will be 6 months old next week and she has really blossomed in the last few weeks.  She is so much fun!  She is trying so hard to sit up on her own and can for short periods, before tipping over to the side.  She does well with the boppy behind her though and anytime we lay her down she lifts her head trying to tell us to sit her up.
She has also become quite the roller!  She rolled over early on, but the didn't have any interest in doing it.  The last few days she has started rolling everywhere!  I will put her down on a blanket on the floor and before I can even turn to get a few toys for her, she has log rolled herself under the coffee table!  :)  It's so fun to watch her roll around everywhere!

She is loving her Jumperoo, which we put together over the weekend.  She likes it better than the Exer-Saucer....just like her sister!  It's more colorful and fun though.  It plays music, lights up, etc.  So I don't blame her for liking it better!

She is just so so happy!  She smiles and giggles and hugs.  She has become much more aware of when Mommy is leaving though.  Breaks me heart to see her face scrunch up and tears stream because I have to pass her off to someone else though.  She is at that 6 month separation anxiety stage though, and she really wants me most of the time.  She is happy with Daddy or Ghee, but if she could have her choice, Mommy it would be.  And if she is tired.......forget about it....she must have Mommy.  I love me a Mommy's girl though!  :)

She is enjoying food more and more.  She has gotten the hang of opening up her mouth rather than trying to suck food off the spoon and is eating better and better.
So far she has eaten: avacado, banana, rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, sweet potatos, carrots (gonna have to watch that one....a little eczema after eating them! hmmmm), prunes, and apples.  She likes the oatmeal (Earth's Best Brand) so much better than the rice cereal....so did big sister! :)
Tessa just has to have something to hold while she is eating, otherwise, she gets bored.  Her favorite thing to hold is a red tupperware lid.  I'm not sure why, but it makes her happy, so we go with it!;)

Tessa Kate is getting to where she really enjoys being read too!  Finally!  I have been trying and trying and she finally sits, listens and looks at the pages happily!  If she touches the pages though  Audrey says "she's trying to bunch it up"....which is what Tessa does with most any piece of paper she gets her hands on.  Her favorite book time is in the bathtub with sister.  Tub full of water + sisters + Daddy reading a book = captive audience.  It aslo keeps them both still enough for me to bathe them!  All kinds of things getting done at once right there!

She snuggles up, hugs your neck, chews on your face, grabs your glasses, pulls your hair, smiles a lot, loves having her neck kissed on and currently scares easily. If we sneeze loud, blow our noses too loud or something similar, she makes this pitiful face and cries.  Poor baby.

She is well loved and certainly on her way to being rotten, if she isn't already.  She is our little chunky girl wearing 6 months/ 6-12 months clothes.  She is bigger than her sister was at this age, but then again, she has been bigger since birth.

Happy 6 months Tessa Katherine!  We love love love you sweet girl!
