Last weekend proved to be a challenging one. We had a VERY strong wind storm (no rain, which we needed) that took down several large trees in our neighborhood, caused the power to go out for 24 hours for us (but much much longer for many others) and really made us long for some relief from the incredible heat that reached 100 degrees.
Julie Ann and Norman lost power for longer than we did and came over to let the kids play. Audrey and Lucy were giving each other all kinds of love and attention. Audrey is really sweet with Lucy and thinks she is just so great...which she is!:)
Uncle Benny was in town and came over for dinner and we went out for ice cream at Pop's. He was without power at Mark and Gloria's too. Audrey LOVES her Uncle Benny.
Though our 24 powerless hours were a pain for us, so many people suffered so much more. We were blessed to get power back when we did.
