Last week we planned to go to 3 Birds Berry Farm in Blacksburg today. So, we got up, got ready and headed out early to pick us some blueberries! It's on the Summer 2012 Bucket List and we were anxious to do it. We got there and were amazed at how many fields of berry bushes there are there! TONS! We grab bed a bucket for each of us, talked to the owner about which field might be the best for us...ahem, in my very pregnant state and having a 2 year old, and he advised us. He was so right. We had a great time, collected a ton of blueberries, we could have kept picking all day, and it was perfect for us.

She was a good little blueberry collector. She did great picking the berries and filling the buckets.
We came home with a gallon of blueberries. That is a LOT of berries! I will certainly be making blueberry pancakes, blueberry cobbler, blueberry muffins, and much more. I think I will also freeze some for later!
This was such a fun outing for our family. We really want to go back later in the summer to pick raspberries! Hopefully we will make it back soon!
