Lately

We are good!
We are BUSY!
We are trying to get outside and enjoy the warm afternoons and evenings.
We had our first dinner on the deck of the year. My parents came for dinner on Sunday and it was nice enough to eat outside. The first of many dinners on the deck. It's one of our favorite things to do. It's just relaxing. But I need some flowers....my empty pots are not pretty!
I am tired.
I am still battling the same cold I have had for 3 weeks. It's really hanging on.

The baby girl is kicking, punching, and moving like crazy these days. It's a great feeling!

Audrey is moving into her "big girl bed" (her super cute toddler bed) this weekend. My Mom ordered her adorable new Pottery Barn Pink Polka Dot Toddler sheets to go on it and I am trying to find the time/energy to make her a new quilt for it. She's excited! and I am a little nervous, but happy she's ready and said so herself! She stated "I give me a big girl bed and I give my baby my baby bed". She loves that baby girl already. She is going to be such a good big sister.

Audrey is very into pretending and make believe these days and likes to pretend she is someone and Daddy and I are someone. Usually friends of ours. It's funny.

She is also very into big girl things these days. She states often that "babies can't do that, but big girls can". She loves that she can get herself in her car seat, get her arms under the straps and hook the chest strap all by herself. "babies can't do that, big girls can".

She's always asking " are we going to church?". I guess we go a lot and it's right by our house, so when we pass it or are getting close, she just assumes that's where we're heading.

She's excited about preschool in the Fall. She talks about it a lot and asks for reassurance about a lot of things with it as well. She is so my little planner and likes to know what to expect and what will happen when Mommy isn't there.

Patrick has already started getting busy with the landscaping. It's only going to get busier!

My spring bulbs are popping up, blooming and I am enjoying walking Audrey around to each and talking with her about which flowers are which. My Nana taught me a lot about spring bulbs and I am hoping to pass some of it onto Audrey. She loves to touch them gently, sniff them and ask questions.

My poppies are blooming! I am most excited about these. I ordered them last year, they came I planted and hoped they would thrive where I chose to put them.....and they are blooming! I am so psyched! I swear I squeal with delight every time I see a new bud popping up! Audrey shares my enthusiasm and will now check them every time we walk to the car. :)

It's amazing how sunshine, warmth and time outside can change your perspective. My house did go from clean and straight to dog hair covered, toys disorganized and strewn about and dirt tracked in. But it's nice out and there is always time for those other things. And if not, my daughter will remember having fun, spending time together, and the attention she was given....not that we had a super clean house. That's what I remind myself when the dirt is getting to me:)
