She's generous and likes to take care of us. She offers us food from her plate, pours us "tea" and gives us pretend bites of "food" she has prepared for us, she offers us her mimi to suck on(no thanks), she pats us on the back and tells us we're cool! Yes, she really says "Mommy cool!" and "Daddy cool!".
She instructs the dogs to sit and stay on a regular basis.
She knows what she wants, where she wants everyone to be and what she wants us to be doing, and she's not afraid to let us know. We made her a cool cardboard house out of the huge box our new washer came in, and she loves it. Last night she insisted that Patrick and I both get into the house. She'll say...."Mommy....sit. Daddy.....sit." as she points to where she wants us to be. Needless to say it was cramped quarters, but she was, of course, happy as a lark to have both of us crammed in one space. That is truly when Audrey is happiest. When Patrick and I are both there, snuggled up with her, and sharing an activity with her. If I am singing to her, she will sometimes say, "Mommy....no." Very matter of factly shaking her head. Ha!
She is still a super sesame street fan. She loves all the characters and talks about them a lot.
She is so friendly to strangers. She charms people everywhere we go. She waves and says hello to people in restaurants, at the grocery store and anywhere else. People will stop eating their meals just to talk with her. She is very cautious of some people though and will only allow them to speak to or be near her if Patrick and I are holding her.
She knows the names and can say the names of everyone in our immediate families. She has nicknamed some of her uncles....."Andy" and "Benny" just might stick. How could they not when she is so cute saying them!? It's too funny to me, that Andrew and Benjamin have gone through the last 24 years or so maintaining their full names, nobody calls them by nicknames, they are Andrew and Benjamin to everyone. But as soon as this 20 pound, wild haired little girl declares they be Andy and Benny.....they accept it with a sweet smile and love that she is calling them by her very own name for them. It's precious, really! It makes my heart melt....and I'm sure theirs too. Most other names she can pronounce pretty clearly.....only slightly shortened or adoringly butchered by toddler talk. The way the child says things is so cute!
The kid is LOVED!!!
