Whew! We have been buried in tissues, thermometers, medicines, nose suckers, mimi's and blankets for the last several days....and we are finally coming up for air!
Audrey got a cold last week, then an upset tummy, which led to a painful diaper rash, and then a 4 day battle with a fluctuating fever. A sick appointment at the pediatrician left us with little help, since we were told she had a viral infection and for us to keep doing what we were doing. Several sleepless nights, some Gie (pronounced "ghee"...what Audrey calls my mom now...so cute) snuggling on Monday and Tuesday, Mommy nursing and lovin' on Wednesday and Daddy time today, and Audrey is *fingers crossed* over the hump and feeling much better. She is much more herself...playing, running, laughing and acting super silly.....again, and coupled with a normal temperature again....thank goodness!....we feel like we made it through.
Again I say....whew!
I've been looking at the calendar for February and I already feel a little nervous breakdown coming on....just kidding....sort of! It's going to be a crazy month and I think we'll be doing lots of ordering out dinner, and eating meals I plan to prepare and freeze this weekend, over the next few weeks.
Patrick and I are really looking forward to the Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker concert in a few weeks and are excited about a night out together! And maybe we'll even get to go out to eat! Whoa!:)
We have been taking advantage of the slightly warmer days we've had scattered throughout the last week or so....and have gone to the park and on a few walks. Bring on Spring!!!
Some cute pics of our growing girl and a pic of my latest sewing project (for Audrey, of course) coming soon!:)
