All in a weekend...

Well....a very long weekend! We got a few inches of snow here in Roanoke, so Patrick and I both had Thursday and Friday off from school, making for a nice 4 day weekend. Yippee! We have packed a lot into our 4 days.....

Thursday: Audrey, Molly and I watched from the warm cozy house, while Daddy scraped the driveway and front patio. The Laniers invited us over for dinner this night, so we made the trek across the street in the snow to have a delicious dinner of chicken pot pie (perfect for a snowy night!). The kids all played and ran around while we had coffee and talked.....we love them!!! Friday: My Dad's birthday! Happy 53rd Dad! We had a nice relaxed lunch with my parents and went shoe shopping...for me!:) Patrick let me pick out the new shoes I wanted for Christmas. My Dad was a good sport to be made to go shoe shopping on his birthday...but I think he'd go anywhere as long as Audrey was with him.
Then we came home and Audrey played with her babies and rocked them to sleep before going down for a nap herself. She is really loving her babies these days. She is so particular with them. She likes to undress them, dress them, carry them around, rock them, put them to bed, feed them. She's so sweet to watch.
Saturday: We slept in!
And we finger painted! I put an old rag over her highchair, one of my old t-shirts on her (which she thought was lots of fun...seriously, I could have stopped at that and she would have been happy:)), and we had some finger painting fun. She painted and explored happily for about 5 minutes, before getting bored of it and decided to taste it. Have I mentioned she likes to taste her playdoh a lot these days too? Silly girl. But she loves her arts and crafts and will request some form of art activity daily! Love that!
We had Julie Ann, Norman and Logan over for dinner.....mexican taco pie!:) yum! The kiddos played so well and wore each other out.
Cousin shot in front of the tree. This is required, right!?:)
This little fella kept posing for me. I got several really cute shots of him cheesing for the camera. He watched Audrey all night and just absorbed everything she was doing and she was so sweet to him, sharing toys and showing him how things worked. They are darling together.
So...busy weekend, and we're not finished yet. I think Sunday will be a day of REST! Although, I still have lots of presents to wrap! One week to Christmas, and we're getting really excited for Santa to come!:)
