What a week!

What a week!!! Oh my! I cannot even tell you how thrilled I am that it is friday!
Patrick woke up Monday morning feeling nasty, spent the day at school feeling worse and worse by the minute and came home after a long day and went to bed in the guest room to avoid getting Audrey or I sick. I thought....this will be good, he's quarantined and will be better by days end on Tuesday. I changed the sheets in our room, put Audrey down for bed and went to give Patrick medicine and a cold rag.....meaning, I peeked at him from the doorway, held my breathe, placed needed items on the bedside table and hauled it out of there leaving a stream of lysol in my path....seriously!
I went in to check on Audrey, and low and behold, the poor pitiful little thing had gotten sick too! This was by far the saddest moment I've had yet in my mothering experience! My little girl, sick, and sleeping in it! I cringe at the image!
Needless to say, we had a rough night and a rough few days after that. Having your infant, almost toddler, sick.......is TERRIBLE!!! It's the worst! My little pumpkin was such a trooper though.
They are both feeling lots better than they were, but are still on the mend and not quite 100%.
I have managed (hear me knocking on wood?), to escape it. Although my throat is sore, but I blame my students for that.....germy kiddos.
We are looking forward to a weekend of rest...hopefully! and hoping that we have had our turn being sick this season and that we're DONE!
