We are at the 30 week mark! 7 1/2 months pregnant! Left to go: 70 days...or....10 weeks....or....2 months and 10 days! However you look at it, we are getting close!
Since I am visiting the doctor every two weeks now, I had my check up today and all is well. The babies heartbeat sounded great, my bump measured right on target, and my blood pressure and weight were perfect. The baby is still measuring approximately 17 inches long but is now just over three pounds. So she is putting on a few ounces every week. Her brain is starting to regulate her body temperature now, so she is starting to shed her lanugo (the soft downy hair that was once keeping her warm in there). With the 3rd trimester has come some tiredness. Not nearly the exhaustion from the first trimester, but I wear out pretty quick these days.
Over the last week or two, I have noticed the babies movements have become much harder and more defined, I can tell that many of her movements are little elbows, knees and feet. Patrick and I enjoy sitting on the couch at night and watching her push part of my belly out with one of her limbs. Who needs TV when you have this entertainment!:)
