- Audrey is so smart. I know, I say this all the time but the kid IS! She is enjoying preschool and comes home so proud of every craft or art activity she has created that week that she just beams! Homegirl is so wanting to be able to read and we are working with her and she is still loving books just as much as she always has. Library storytime is the highlight of her week. Give the girl some fruit and vegetables and the movie Frozen and she is happy!
- Tessa is getting really big. Wearing 18-24 month clothes and lots of 2T stuff as well. She is 20 months and is a lover. She hugs and pats and cuddles. She is still pretty in love with her mimi and bobi (blankie and paci). So funny that she has started calling her blanket her mimi....that's what Audrey called her paci. Tessa thinks Ghee hung the moon. Her hair is getting so long! She dislikes getting dressed at night and loves vegetables.
- Tessa and Audrey love each other more than they love anyone else....it's totally true. They laugh, play, snuggle and share. They also blame each other for most everything.
- The dogs are hairy and bored of this cold snowy weather and are ready for warmth and sunshine. I am ready for them to shed all that hair outside before coming in.
- Work is super busy for me right now and I feel like I am counting the days until spring break and then summer. We have been busy this school year with work, church, kid activities, volunteering, family, etc. We are tired and ready for a vacation.
- We are really looking forward to some time on the land once the weather turns warm. Camping in the pop up is going to be a fun reality this summer now that Tessa is out of that stage that makes camping a nightmare.....we are super excited!!!!!
- Patrick has carved out some time at home a few times a month to stay home for the day with the girls and they have loved some Daddy time. He is super fun and takes them to Pump it up and Chuck-e-cheese. Places that Mommy will go but the germaphobe in me cringes.
- Dinnertime is such a challenge. Audrey lollygags eating.....takes. for. ever. and Tessa fusses the entire time. The nights they both sit down, eat and nobody cries.....WIN!!!!!! Those nights, Patrick and I look at each other silently, afraid to ruin the utter silence as they eat happily without issue. This too shall pass and one day we will be alone at the table wishing our kids would come home and have dinner with us. But right now, when we get a night ou,t we make SURE we plan it for our families normal dinnertime so that we can pass the buck for the night! ;)
