My Dear Sweet Tessa Kate,
Darling girl, you are ONE today and I feel like the year has flown by. You have done everything so quickly! You went so quickly from this tiny sleepy little baby girl to this energetic toddler who is nearly running. I remember so well the middle of the night when you came into this world. I thought I knew what to expect. But nothing prepared me for how much my heart would grow at that moment to have such immense love for two precious girls. You have brought our family SO MUCH JOY! You have the biggest and the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. You rise to the challenge of being a little sister and take on whatever your sister tries. You made Audrey a Big Sister and she has happily accepted that role. You look up to her and want to do whatever she is doing, eat whatever she is eating, drink whatever she is drinking and be held the moment she is held. :) You are a feisty girl, just like your sister and your Mama.
You are silly and clever and you make me laugh every. single. day.
You and your sweet smile, your quickness to figure things out, your love of being held, your determination, and your quiet way of sharing have stolen my heart.
You are the world to me.

- is walking and trying to run
- is climbing and getting down safely! (she backs down on her tummy)
- is still nursing
- eats anything you give her...current favs are cheese, bread of any kind, yogurt, anything Audrey has
- her favorite toys are little people, animals, dress up bracelets and hats, the doll house (mostly just wrecking it is what she enjoys), the play food/kitchen, anything Audrey has
- LOVES her blankie and paci.
- is taking one nap a day
- has three teeth! all on the bottom
- loves drawing with sidewalk chalk
- loves the pool, beach, swing, wagon
- is a Mama's girl but quickly figured out what all the fuss about Daddy was! She gets so upset when he leaves the house. She follows him to the door crying after him.
- loves playing in big sisters room
- is determined and gets upset when told "no" or she doesn't get what she wants. the girl will stop breathing for a moment.
- does not care for diaper changes, getting dressed, or wearing a bib
- LOVES being outside
- can go up the stairs
- won't sit still for a book but loves music and making music
- loves sitting on the couch and loves being tickled
- is an amazing snuggler
- thinks Minnie Mouse and Elmo are great
- LOVES phones (toy and real)
- Drags toys out and scatters them all over the house.
- has several nicknames: Tessa Messa (b/c you make a mess everywhere), Tessa Wessa Candy Pop (that's all Audrey's doing), Tessa Kate, Sugar Bear, Baby Sister, Sissy
- is the sweetest little sugar bear
