Lately

I haven't been a very good blogger....but I am a good mom....and lately there is not time for both.  So, i am okay, with the blogging slacking off a little.  I do want to post what my silly and sweet girls are doing lately, so that I remember....because I know that I will forget so many things.  It just happens.  Life happens, kids grow fast and start doing new funny and cute things.  There are so many things Audrey used to do or say that I have forgotten about until I go back and read my own blog and then I remember!  So maybe they are not forgotten, but stored way back in my mind, and having the blog posts to read is like my retrieval system!  

Anyways, here are some funny and sweet things my girls are doing these days:

Audrey loves preschool!  We are one month in and she really does enjoy it.  She looks forward to going, she had made new friends, has learned new things and is thriving.  We are so happy!  I have loved getting to drop her off and pick her up while I am still on maternity leave.  Being able to really be a part of this experience has been priceless for me and I am so going to miss taking her, walking her in, see her excitement as she hangs up her backpack and coat, then waves to me and blows me kisses.  I am glad I have had the opportunity to be there to see for myself that she is happy there.  Priceless to this Mama!

Tessa is such a smiley girl these days!  She loves to lay on her back and play on a blanket on the floor.  She loves her bouncy seat and being talked to, peekaboo, black and white toys and pictures, and being outside.  She had the chunkiest legs, arms and CHEEKS!  Oh the cheeks!  How I love them and their squishiness.  I could just kiss them all day....actually, I do kiss them all day!  :)  

She watches everything her sister is doing and flashes a smile for big sissy that Audrey loves!  The hairdryer will get her to stop crying and she loves to be held and rocked or bounced.  She loves movement but hates her carseat.  I mean HATES her carseat.  But it is getting a bit better....but just a bit.  She likes her paci and I believe may be a blankey girl too, but we will see.  

She loves to nurse and is already rolling herself!  She gets her body over, but her arm blocks her from getting all the way to her chest.  She likes tummy time well enough and is a drooling machine.  She loves her bath but does not like getting out.  She coos and splashes and is so happy, but the minute I take her out, she cries so hard.  She is sweet and growing very fast.  With her being my second, I now know how fast it will all go.    

Audrey has said some seriously silly things lately and is growing up so much!  She LOVES to sing and dance.  Her favorite things to do is play with her babies and stuffed animals, dress up, and create cozy little camp outs....she drags blankets and pillows off the couches or out of her closet and off her bed multiple times a day to make beds for herself, her babies and me or Patrick.  She has been sweet and sharing with her sister.  She had also developed a strong sense of style and wants more and more say in what she wears each day.  She came out of her room from nap the other day wearing a completely different outfit....a tank top and pants with mittens and snowflakes on them!  She said " that outfit made me grumpy, this is better".  She insists on wearing her ladybug rain boots pretty much everywhere and they are stinkin' cute on her.  

We are still figuring out what works some days around here with two kids and our schedule is busy.  

But we have precious girls and we are doing our best to enjoy them.
