We spent Memorial Day weekend on our land at John's Creek. It was a great weekend and we camped in our pop up for the first time! It was nice weather and we had a really nice time tubing down the creek, sitting by the fire, making LOTS of s'mores, fishing and sitting in the shallows of the creek while Audrey collected rocks in a bucket, built rock sculptures, looked for tadpoles and salamanders, and slung water around.
Bandit did lots of laying around in the grass and sleeping in the shade...pretty much what he does at home too.
Uncle Benny came for lunch and a little fishing one day. Audrey positioned herself right between the boys.
Tubing down the creek. I only went once down, but Patrick an Audrey went over and over like this.
This is Molly's favorite thing to do when we are at the land. The dog doesn't stop when we are there.
Coffee in the morning from the percolator is the best coffee ever....maybe because you have to wait longer for it, or maybe because you didn't sleep well the night before since it is camping after all. Audrey had a great time. She fished, swam, did art projects that I took for her, and didn't nap the whole weekend. But she did crash hard at night.
It was a really nice weekend and we got to spend time with both our families as well. We went to my parents land for dinner one night and Patrick's family came down for lunch and tubing one day.
