It was hot yesterday and after a morning of chores and cleaning up around the house, at about 11:30 Patrick said "let's get out the pool!". So of course, Audrey squealed with delight and ran to me telling me she needed her bathing suit on. I put her in her new polka dot and pink ruffle bathing suit Ghee got her and her water shoes and outside we all went.
Filling up the pool and drinking from the hose a little too.
She had fun! The water was freezing, so I only put my feet in for a minute, but she convinced Daddy to get in and she poured water all over him delighting in his shock at how chilly the water was. :)
After we came in, got dry clothes on and I started fixing lunch, Audrey watched Horton Hears a Hoo. It's a favorite. She's cuddling with her "baby doggie", as she calls it. He's become a favorite too and he ends up all over the house, so at nap and bed time we are always looking all over for him, because she has carried him somewhere, left him, but wants to sleep with him.
We also spent the weekend getting Tessa's room somewhat ready. The crib is set up, but there is still much to be done in the room. But I feel like I have a start now, so I can tinker in there as I have a free time here and there.....when would that be.....? :) Audrey is enjoying seeing Tessa's room come together a little too. She was excited about the crib going up and me pulling out and cleaning the diaper pail.
