Looking to the skies

We have talked with Audrey on multiple occasions about heaven and people and animals who we love that have passed and are now in heaven.
This morning a Vince Gill song came on that was played at my Dad's funeral and I turned it up a little and told her that this was Grandpa Jim's song. I said "you never knew Grandpa Jim, do you know where he is?" she says, "yeah, he at Uncle Kyle's house" and I said, "yes, do you know where that is?" and she replied "in heaven".
Then a moment later she says, "but he knows me! cause he watch me".
So matter of fact and so confident in her belief.

I hope he does know her, because I know he would think she was pretty special.

How amazing would it be if that's what heaven was like? Everyone spends their time visiting each other, making connections that weren't there in this world and watching over and getting to know our loved ones on earth.
We have told Audrey often that she has guardian angels in heaven that watch over her and keep her safe. It's so amazing that she listens, knows and feels good that she has people in heaven that love her.
It's little moments like that that leave me in total awe of the beauty, understanding and God given grace of children.

I pray that she will always remember this, feel their presence and look to the skies for comfort and love when we cannot be there.
