Audrey got her first experience playing in the snow over Christmas weekend. I suited her up in her new cute purple snow bibs, her boots, scarf, coat, hat and mittens (which are nearly impossible to keep on a toddlers hands! Patrick implemented a rubber band technique, where the rubber bands are just barely tight enough to keep the mittens from sliding right off those tiny little hands of hers, but not tight enough to bother her), and we headed out for a short bit to play in the snow. She had fun, although she did need a lot of help getting around in it. We got around 4 inches of snow, and she was all bundled, so she had a hard time getting her feet up over the snow, but she loved it anyway. It was fun to see her excitement about it all and she's still young enough not to protest when Mommy is ready to go in and warm up after only 15 or 20 minutes. :)
Me and my girl! I love her to pieces!
Daddy and Audrey heading into the backyard....can you see bandit back there? He loves the snow! He runs around like a wild dog kicking up snow and acting like a puppy!

When it snowed a few weeks ago, it wasn't quite enough to convince me to get her all bundled up for playing in it, plus she already had a runny nose, so we stayed indoors, but Patrick did bring her in a big bowl of freshly fallen snow! What a fun idea! He's a fun Dad, and always has ideas that I wouldn't have thought of. I sat her on the kitchen floor on a towel with her snow bowl and she played until it was all melted......or eaten! I'm not sure which snow play she preferred more.....but either way....Audrey is a fan of the wintry weather....all except that brutal wind that takes your breath away to and from the car! Nobody likes that!
