The sweetest

Sweet Audrey went to bed a little late tonight. She took a slightly later nap, so we put her in the bath a little later and she played happily..splashing, playing with her zebra and covering him with her wash cloth, like a blanket and rocking him like a baby...too funny. I got her in her jammies, Daddy came in to kiss her goodnight, like every night, and we set about rocking for a few minutes and nursing. She wasn't ready to go to bed though...she apparently still had sweetness in her that she needed to shower on Mama. She kept hugging my neck, gently patting my back as she did, then she'd look at me, kiss me and say "Mommy, my Mommy", and hug me again. Be still my heart!
What did I ever do to be blessed with such a sweet little girl!?
That sweet little girl has one more day before she is ONE. Where has the time gone?
She's asleep now, and though I'm glad she is....she needs the rest and I am wiped out from a busy week and need the rest too....I still miss her. I am already looking forward to hearing her call for me in the morning....then calling for her Daddy, then me again.
