There is a reason we have nicknamed Audrey Little Bit......she is just a little bitty girl! Audrey had her 12 month check up yesterday. She of course, impressed her pediatrician with her beauty, health, smarts and great cooperation. She weighs 19 lbs. 3 oz. and is 28 3/4 tall. She's in the 25th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. The doctor says she is perfect, petite and so healthy! She let him check her out, listen to her heart....which she thought tickled!:), she even let him get a look at those illusive top teeth that are being stubborn coming in.....she rarely will even let us look at them. He said the two on either side of her front top teeth were on there way in too....they are all four just taking their time. We discussed her allergies at length and she is going to have to go to a pediatric allergist in a few months. She's still a little young for the allergy testing, but in a few months she will go and we will get a few more answers and solutions to some of her allergy issues. He said to keep doing what we're doing until then. Her egg allergy does mean that she cannot have the flu shot. So, if you are feeling under the weather at all this season...do NOT darken our door step......:) seriously!:) thanks! :)
When he asked me approximately how many words she could say I thought about all the words she uses and said about 15-20. He was really impressed by this and said that children who talk and have a large vocabulary this early have always proved to be very intelligent. Then over dinner last night Patrick and I started counting the words she uses and we totalled more like 20-25 words! She's so smart!
She was a trooper with her shot and pointed at the nurse who gave it to her, made the most awful face, cried and hugged Mama. She was only upset for a minute, then she just wanted her mimi and her Mama.
Patrick and I are both just amazed how "big" she seems these days. She acts so silly and loves to run around the house at night. She literally runs around the living room, into the dining room, around the table, through the kitchen and back into the living room....just taking lap after lap. Sometimes the dogs join in, the cat is always running away! and we are sitting there cracking up at her silliness. Life is good!
