Every morning before I leave for work, Audrey "helps" me put on my makeup. I have a very brief makeup routine and it only takes about 2 minutes....if I do it alone. It can take a bit longer with my little helper.
I didn't think she was going to do it with me this morning. When I told her I was going to put on my makeup, she hung back with her Daddy in the kitchen. But before I knew it I heard her little hands and knees padding down the hall after me, and Patrick said..."Here she comes!".
We sit on the floor in front of the mirrored closet and she takes each item out of my makeup bag, carefully inspects it, then hands it to Mama to use. When I am done I hand it back to her and ask her to "put it back in the bag", which she does.
She's such a good little girl.
We have had an eye liner mishap or two where she has managed to get the lid off and draw on herself a bit, but now that's the only thing I don't let her help me take in and out of the bag. She's very funny with my lip gloss....she mimics me putting it on, only with the lid ON instead of OFF!
When we're done, she goes to Daddy so that she can "help" him with some of his morning routine.:)
When we get up on time....our mornings run so smoothly!:)
