packing

We are preparing for a few days at the beach.

There is A LOT TO PACK for a 9 month old to spend 5 days at the beach. Like...a crazy lot! Anyhow, I am packing and trying to make my house somewhat presentable for my wonderful friend who will be checking in on my cat...yeah right, she's seen my house all messy and still loves me....I'm not cleaning up for her, but I DO LOVE HER and APPRECIATE HER for keeping an eye on things. We do this for each other, it's great to have a wonderful friend who also happens to be your neighbor!:)...I'm really trying to clean up so when we get back the house is not a total wreck!

Although, I have gotten more relaxed about leaving a mess, trying to tell myself...

"it'll be ok if the table is a little piled up"

or

"I'll sweep when I get home...the cat doesn't mind the dust bunnies...she created them!"

is this a bad thing or a good thing?

Patrick would probably say it's a good thing....he wishes I would care a little less about things being just so.....my mom might say it's a bad thing....the whole mom teaching you to be neat and tidy kind of thing....hmmmm....

for now, I'm on the fence.

On another note...we got new phones! Yay!

So, hopefully I will be able to/have the time to keep you all updated on beach happenings.

We'll see! If not, I'll fill you in when we get back.

I'm not looking forward to leaving or the trip there...ugh!, but I am looking forward to being there, spending some family time, and watching Audrey experience the beach for the first time.
