Baby Smoothie

I gave Audrey peaches yesterday and she was not so keen on them. I thought they were sweet and delicious, but she made faces like they were a little too tart for her liking right now. So I decided to puree my peach chunks with a banana in the food processor. It made a nice smooth, pretty colored blend that tastes great. The banana really dulled the tartness of the peaches and the flavors are yummy together.
I put a few tablespoons of it into Audrey's sippy cup with a little cold water to thin it out and voila!...a smoothie for my girl! She loves it and can get it out of the sippy spout easily! I'm going to use this as a nice snack option for her.
It's healthy...peaches, banana and water! and it is delicious too! I froze the leftovers into cubes and will use those either for smoothies or as part of a meal. I can just drop a cube into her sippy cup with a little water, let it thaw a little, shake it and serve or thaw a cube to mix in cereal or to just eat on it's own.

Audrey loves mango. It's super slippery though, so it's best mixed in with her oatmeal.
Occasionally I will sprinkle a little rice cereal (dry) onto her finger food bits, if they are slippery, to help her be able to pick them up. The mango is a little too slippery, even for this method, but that works great for banana....although now Audrey likes for me to give her a half of a banana at a time and she will hold it and gum little pieces off. And now that she has two bottom teeth...one has come in good the other is just little white caps still, she will be able to chew a little better. I am thinking of boiling some pasta for her soon.

I also made some more peas today...the girl loves them and eats them up quick. :)
