Tons of Firsts!

We have been so busy lately and I haven't had much time to post about all that Audrey has been up to lately. She has learned SO MANY new things in the last two weeks that my head is spinning....and I know she must be exhausted from all the huge strides in development she has made lately! Here's a recap:

1. She can sit on her own. She is still wobbly at times, but is getting more stable by the day!

2. She eats "solid" food! She has had meals of both avacado (which she loves!) and green beans (not loving them quite as much, but she eats them) and tonight will be having sweet potatos. I spent nap time on Saturday preparing and freezing several meals for her for use over the next few weeks. It took very little time, I cooked her food right along with ours, just with no seasonings. Easy Peesy and I feel so good about the food we are feeding her!

3. She has said her first words! Last week, while playing in her jumperoo while I finished making dinner, she looked at me, fussed to get out and while I washed my hands in order to go get her, she got impatient and said, "ma...ma...ma"! She hasn't said it again since, but she will again eventually. That precious moment will be forever in my heart!

Then last night over dinner, out of nowhere she looked at her Daddy and said "dada......dada.....dada"! She said it over and over and then woke up this morning saying it! As you can imagine, he is over the moon about it...his little girl saying DaDa! Oh my, he's wrapped around her finger!:)

She is just much more chatty in general these days and her noises seem to be sounding so much more like actual words, rather than noises.

4. She is sleeping much better at night, usually waking only once to nurse and falls right back to sleep.

5. She is still working on that first tooth, with tons of drool, lots of chewing on anything that she can get in her mouth and much pulling on her gums. I had a dream the other night that she had cut that first little bumpy pearly while, but when I woke up and checked her mouth....no tooth. For now, she only seems to be bothered by it occasionally, when I can tell she is crying because of that discomfort, so we are thankful for that it's not too bad for her for now.
As you can tell the girl is growing oh so fast and learning and doing oh so much. There is rarely a dull moment in our house.
