Harmon Family Shenanigans

So I have two jobs.....
One where I show up every morning with a smile on my face and greet hundreds of elementary children who are SUPER excited to find out whether we are painting that day. I teach them how to paint and draw and paste, and about famous artists and things you can do with simple materials to create something really cool. I enjoy this work and I also get paid real actual money for doing this!!! That's important!

My other job is one where I pick up, hold and soothe a tiny little girl. I change her diaper and her clothes, I feed her with milk that my body has made (how amazing is that, by the way!), I do everything for her...I even clip her stray fingernails daily so she won't scratch her face (note: my own toes still have polish on them from mid November!). This job pays me....not in cash money, not in anything I can spend or pay bills with, but in sweet little dimpled smiles, coos, tiny fingers holding onto my shirt when shes nursing and big blue eyed moments. Oh those blue eyes!

I have officially gone back to work....the paying one. It's been a difficult few days, and the week isn't over yet. People keep saying it will get easier, although I can't imagine it ever being easy to walk out the door and leave my baby girl all day. Audrey has had a good few days with her Gran and I know Mom is truly enjoying her...she's just such a sweet baby!
