A kick, a punch and a flip

Yesterday, July 4th, Patrick felt our baby girl kick for the first time! She had been moving around quite a bit yesterday afternoon, so I laid down on the couch and had him put his hand on my stomach where I could feel her moving around. We sat there for a few moments with him talking to her and soon enough, she gave him a faint kick, then another stronger one a moment later! He was very excited to be able to feel her moving in there. I have been able to feel her moving very frequently over the last several days. I have noticed that when I am resting: sitting on the sofa, laying in bed; she is the most active. It can make it very hard to get back to sleep at night, when she's in there wide awake and wanting Mommy up with her! When I am up and moving around, she is the most still....I must be rocking her to sleep with my movement. It's a nice feeling and has connected us to her even more than before. I feel like I know what she's up to in there. :)
