The weeks seem to go by fast as we are counting up to 40.
The baby is the size of chicken breast...the comparison is not as cute as to a piece of fruit!....but anyhow, it's growing up a storm and along with putting on weight and growing longer, it now has finger and toe prints! Pretty neat!
For the last 2 weeks or so, I have thought two or three times that I felt the baby move, but having never felt it before, I wasn't 100% sure that's what I was feeling. Then on Saturday afternoon, as I reclined on the sofa, I felt what was unmistakably the movement of our growing child inside of me! It was such a neat feeling! I, of course sat there for the next half an hour waiting to feel it again, trying to talk the baby into giving mama one more big flip, but he/she was not in the mood. I know in a matter of weeks I will be feeling that movement with increasing intensity, and look forward to the reminder of this amazing thing that is happening inside of me, as if my growing belly weren't reminder enough!:) ha
As for me, I have been feeling good. I have remained more energetic and have had the energy to get more done. My lower back has started to hurt some, as my tummy grows and my posture shifts to accommodate this extra person I am carrying.
Summer Break is only a week away and Patrick and I are both looking so forward to having a break from school and getting an opportunity to work on the nursery and plan for this little one that will join us in the Fall!
