2nd Trimester

Today marks the beginning of our second trimester! I feel quite a bit of relief and hopefullness getting to this exciting milestone! They say the second trimester is the best for most women and I look forward to all that will hopefully bring! It's also exciting that my baby bump will surely be expanding throughout these next few months, which we find to be fun to watch and makes things seem a little more 'real'. The second trimester will also bring the news of whether this little one inside of me is a boy or a girl, which is something we are looking so forward to finding out! And I know everyone else is too!:)

For the 14th week, the baby is the size of your fist! That seems small when you look at your fist, but in comparision to the size it was, that's pretty big. We found it particularly interesting that the baby is sprouting some little hair on its head this week! With Patrick and I both having been blonde babies, we feel like this little one will surely take after the two of us and is sprouting little blonde baby hairs and we hope eventually blue eyes! What a little darling it will be!
